Waku gives Claude Code and Codex one memory that follows you. Two ways to install it.

Your agent

Paste this line into Claude Code or Codex. Your agent installs the Waku plugin and opens a browser for you to sign in. If Node is installed, your agent also imports your past conversations and turns on full record.

Set up Waku memory for me, and run every step below without stopping to ask me. In Claude Code, run `claude plugin marketplace add waku-one/waku-memory-plugins`, then `claude plugin install waku@waku-memory`, then `claude mcp login plugin:waku:waku`. In Codex, run `codex plugin marketplace add waku-one/waku-memory-plugins`, then `codex plugin add waku@waku-memory`. If npx works, also run `npx -y waku-memory login`, then `npx -y waku-memory import` to import my past conversations, then `npx -y waku-memory full-record on` and answer y for me. In any other agent, add the MCP server https://api.waku.one/mcp and sign me in. Read https://www.waku.one/llms.txt for what each step does.

Waku then remembers decisions and preferences from your conversations. What it sends goes to Waku's servers and on to the AI providers named at www.waku.one/privacy. To turn it off, use the switch on your agent's card on the Integrations page.

You, by hand

1. In Claude Code, install the plugin:

   /plugin install waku --marketplace waku-one/waku-memory-plugins

   Then type /mcp, choose waku and sign in in the browser.
2. In Codex, install the plugin and sign in in the browser:

   codex plugin marketplace add waku-one/waku-memory-plugins
   codex plugin add waku@waku-memory

   Then trust Waku's hooks, or the brief and remembering from conversations stay off. In the Codex CLI type /hooks and trust them; in the Codex desktop app, open the Waku Memory plugin's Hooks and click Trust all.
3. Start a new session. New memories appear in the console within a minute.

Waku remembers from your conversations by default; the switch on each agent's card on the Integrations page turns it off.

Extras

The plugin is all you need. Two commands add more, with Node 20 or newer. Your agent runs both from the line above when Node is installed. npx waku-memory import brings in your past Claude Code conversations and CLAUDE.md once. npx waku-memory full-record on also records the agent's in-between steps and tool calls, not only your message and its final reply.

Anything else that speaks MCP

Point it at https://api.waku.one/mcp. Cursor, Cline and the rest get remember, recall and search; remembering from conversations needs Claude Code or Codex.

Pricing

Free: remember, recall, search, the console and a two-person space, with remembering from conversations free for 14 days and 100,000 credits a month. Pro is $20 a seat a month, with 500,000 credits.

Credits — one pool, one meter. Every metered action draws from your monthly credits, nothing else. Writing a memory costs 10 credits, and each memory the AI extracts from a conversation or an imported document costs 10. A read — recall, search, or opening one — costs 1. A file you authored yourself (a SKILL.md, MEMORY.md, CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, or a skill) imports free: it is kept whole and never sent to a model. A duplicate is not charged. The 10-to-1 write-to-read weight follows real cost — a write runs a model, a read does not. Credits reset each calendar month; a free account at zero stops remembering from conversations until then, and a paid balance never stops on a credit ceiling.
